"Best Reference Tool
DALLAS,
March 19, 2001 - :CRQ print-to-Web technology won the
Codie Award for "Best Reference Tool" from the Software and Information
Industry Association (SIIA) on March 12, 2001 in San Diego. The
Codie Awards is the only peer-recognized program honoring excellence
in the software and information industry, as the outcomes are
based on the votes of fellow industry executives. The awards serve
as valuable referral sources for consumers in search of this year's
best products and services.
Digital:Convergence shared the spotlight with 38 other winners
from companies ranging from established powerhouses to relative
newcomers. A total of 740 nominations by 340 companies comprised
the first-round judging of the competition.
:CRQ
("See Our Cue") technology uses embedded cues to empower publishers,
broadcasters and manufacturers to help consumers access relevant
Web-based content quickly and directly. Print cues, which look
like product codes, can be inserted into most print material and
are read with a :CueCat device using :CRQ software. The
hand-held :CueCat reader processes cues, instantly linking a user's
browser to a related Web page, eliminating the input of lengthy
URLs and time-intensive Web navigation.
