Mobby's
USA Is First in Scuba Industry to Adopt :CRQ Technology
Diving Equipment Manufacturer Enhances Product Catalog With Print-to-Web
Technology
DALLAS,
February, 15th, 2001-Diving
suit manufacturer Mobby's USA, Inc., premiers :CRQÔ print-to-Web
technology from Digital:Convergence Corporation in its annual
2001 product catalog, offering subscribers, manufacturers and
scuba enthusiasts a quick and easy means of accessing additional
product information on the Web. :CRQ (See Our Cue) technology
uses embedded "cues" to empower manufacturers like Mobby's, as
well as broadcasters and publishers to enhance content for consumers.
Digital:Convergence's
printed cues, which look like product codes, can be embedded in
most print media and are read through the :CRQ software with a
:CueCat TM device. Approximately the size of a computer mouse,
the :CueCat device reads the cues, instantly linking a user's
browser to a related Web page. This eliminates the input of lengthy
URLs and time-intensive Web navigation. Both the :CRQ software
and the :CueCat device are free to consumers. Additionally, the
:CueCat device can read any UPC or ISBN on a product, making it
instantly interactive with the Internet.
"As
an industry innovator, Mobby's has always looked to partner with
other visionary companies. The :CueCat reader will allow our customers
to quickly find the information they want within our Web site,"
said Pablo A. Perez, vice president, U.S. Operations. "The technology
is indeed impressive."
Established
in 1963, Mobby's is one of the oldest manufacturers of recreational
Scuba diving exposure protection apparel, and the leading manufacturer
of recreational drysuits in the U.S. and Japan
