Digital:Convergence Makes New Content Applications and Wireless Technologies a Reality at NATPE 2001

LAS VEGAS, Jan. 23, 2001 – Digital:Convergence arrived today at NATPE 2001 with new content applications for broadcast and cable partners, and several new wireless products for both print and broadcast applications. Delivering on its commitment to help partners build revenue opportunities by extending their brand to the Internet, Digital:Convergence is now deploying its :CRQ technology, which enables a true interactive experience by instantly linking traditional media to relevant Web content, across broadcast, cable and network platforms.

"As our partners embrace our technology, we’re seeing a significant opportunity to work with them in the development, creation and deployment of ‘convergent content,’ which is an entirely new and exciting area of expertise for everyone involved," said Scott Carlin, president of Digital:Convergence’s Media Group.

"With less than four months of limited distribution, more than one million consumers have installed our :CRQ technology, making Digital:Convergence the de facto industry standard," said J. Jovan Philyaw, chairman and CEO of Digital:Convergence.

The new content applications and wireless technologies will be shown at NATPE 2001 in the Las Vegas Convention Center, booth #123. Wireless technologies include:

  • Air:CRQ – Digital:Convergence will preview its first wireless broadcast device capable of instantly linking television to relevant Web content. Air:CRQ will be available in Q2 2001.
  • The Cross :Convergence Pen – This new mobile pen-based reader developed by A. T. Cross for print to Internet links is available now.
