Digital:Convergence Corporation Names Lawrence T. Olsen Vice President of Newspapers, Publishing Group

Dallas, TX, Oct. 9, 2000 — Digital:Convergence Corporation, a privately held Internet technology company headquartered in Dallas, today announced the appointment of Lawrence T. Olsen as vice president, newspapers, for the company's publishing group. Olsen is responsible for licensing Digital:Convergence's new technology that links traditional media to specific content on the Internet, to newspaper publishers.

Olsen brings more than 20 years of executive management experience in print media, syndicated news and entertainment operations to Digital:Convergence. Most recently he served as president of King Features, a stand-alone syndication division of The Hearst Corporation, expanding the division's worldwide presence and leading the company to greater profitability with a successful online launch. Prior to King Features, Olsen was business and marketing manager for UPI's European Division based in London.
