Digital:Convergence Corporation Names Tony Hoyt, Senior Vice President of Magazine Sales, Publishing

Dallas, TX, Oct. 9, 2000 — Digital:Convergence Corporation, a privately held Internet technology company headquartered in Dallas, today announced the appointment of Tony Hoyt as senior vice president of magazine sales for the company's publishing group. In this role, Hoyt is responsible for developing relationships and educating individual magazines and magazine companies on the editorial and advertising use of the :CueCat technology.

Hoyt, having recently served as senior vice president and publisher of American Media, Inc., brings many years of publishing experience to Digital:Convergence. He was previously vice president of Hearst Magazines as well as publisher of House Beautiful, Redbook, and Cosmopolitan magazines. In addition during his 17-year tenure on the West Coast, he has held key sales positions with Cosmopolitan, Connoisseur and Esquire magazines.
